The message from the tribes remains: <a href=\"https:\/\/tlingitandhaida.gov\/news\/respect-for-alaska-native-homelands-cultures-and-peoples-is-not-optional\/\">all are welcome and respect is not optional<\/a>. \r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Ftlingitandhaida.gov%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02AKx76QDVhFFuCL16w46GDsepjiR6PuDnZFUYVJ6jAb9ku3ThRHhdqXHstwLudEQPl&#038;show_text=true&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"917\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nWhile promoting responsible tourism, the Ketchikan Indian Community is also launching a new initiative for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/KetchikanIndianCommunityKIC\/posts\/read-kics-latest-press-releaseketchikan-indian-community-launches-service-touris\/1531099975693371\/\">visitors to purchase care packages for the community\u2019s unhoused population<\/a>. George Joe&#8217;s project aims to <a href=\"https:\/\/gallupsunweekly.com\/2026\/06\/22\/navajo-created-gps-travel-app-brings-road-stories-to-travelers-across-northern-arizona-southwest\/\">help visitors navigate Din\u00e9 and Pueblo lands across Arizona and New Mexico<\/a> and includes historical information and other resources designed to better <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kunm.org\/local-news\/2026-07-02\/navajo-man-mobile-app-tourists-native-lens-historic-routes-tribal-trailz-route-66-route66\">educate tourists about traveling in ancestral homelands.<\/a>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<div class=\"h5-responsive sub\">Guests on Native America Calling<\/div>\r\nRichard Peterson (Tlingit), <a href=\"https:\/\/tlingitandhaida.gov\/administrator\/richard-j-peterson\/\">president of the Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Tribes<\/a> in Alaska\r\n<P><\/P>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/emily-edenshaw-b8423031\">Emily Edenshaw<\/a> (Native Village of Emmonak), tribal administrator and CEO of the Ketchikan Indian Community in Alaska\r\n<P><\/P>\r\nGeorge R.
