Photo courtesy NAFOA<\/figcaption>\r\n<div class=\"h3-responsive font-weight-bold\">Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation donates $100,000 to NAFOA<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"date\">Wednesday, December 4, 2024<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"source\">Indianz.Com<\/div>\r\n<P><\/P>\r\nThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mptn-nsn.gov\/\">Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation<\/a> has donated $150,000 to <a href=\"https:\/\/nafoa.org\/\">NAFOA<\/a>, the oldest and largest finance organization in Indian Country.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nAccording to NAFOA, the donation is the first major contribution from one of its member tribes. The money will help the organization continue its mission of fostering tribal economic growth and leadership development.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n\u201cThis donation reflects the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation\u2019s commitment to NAFOA\u2019s mission and our shared dedication to building sustainable, economically vibrant tribal communities,\u201d  Treasurer Merrill Reels, of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/nafoa.org\/mptn-150k-donation-nafoa-supporting-tribal-economies\/\">NAFOA news release<\/a> on Tuesday. \u201cWe are proud to support an organization that empowers tribes with essential advocacy and leadership skills.\u201d\r\n<P><\/P>\r\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Gifts $150,000 Donation to NAFOA, Supporting Tribal Economic Empowerment &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/WOLBda95zi\">https:\/\/t.co\/WOLBda95zi<\/a><\/p>&mdash; NAFOA (@nafoaorg) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nafoaorg\/status\/1864037379553800217?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 3, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\r\n<P><\/P>\r\nThe tribe, based in Connecticut, has been a member of NAFOA since 2015.
