Advance Your Tribe\u2019s Public Finance Data with the Survey of Native Nations<\/div>\r\nTribal governments make vital financial decisions to build strong, healthy communities and steward their resources for future generations. The Survey of Native Nations equips tribal governments with high-quality public finance data that can inform their decision-making and help them tell their economic stories in data-driven ways.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nWe are working with the Center for Indian Country Development<\/a> (CICD) to make the survey available to our members. As part of the Federal Reserve System, CICD brings the secure data infrastructure required to protect tribal data and help build the data systems we need.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nBy participating in the survey, your tribal government will receive a confidential data report for use in your decision-making and communications, and you will help us serve our members by contributing to research-based insights about our members\u2019 economic contributions and challenges. 2. ADVOCACY<\/em><\/div>\r\n
Join NCN’s Sign-on Letter to the U.S. Senate Requesting $50 Million for CDFI Fund\u2019s NACA Program for FY 2027<\/div>\r\nThe Native CDFI Network invites Native CDFIs, Tribal Nations, Native-led organizations, and Indian Country partners to join a sign-on letter to U.S. Senate leadership requesting $50 million in FY 2027 funding for the CDFI Fund\u2019s Native American CDFI Assistance (NACA) Program.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nThis request advances one of NCN\u2019s top policy priorities for 2026 and reflects the continued unmet financing needs in Native communities, persistent lack of access to capital across Indian Country, and the strong economic return generated by Native CDFIs through small business lending, homeownership financing, consumer lending, and community development initiatives.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nWith the Senate Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee expected to mark up the bill in the coming weeks, it is important that Native CDFIs and Indian Country stakeholder and partner organizations make their voices heard.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nThe deadline to sign on is Tuesday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. ET.\r\n

U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach Visits Blackfeet<\/div>\r\nU.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach recently traveled to the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Browning, Montana, for his first trip to Montana since taking office \u2014 part of a broader swing through Indian Country that also included visits to the Flathead and Coeur d\u2019Alene reservations.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nIn Episode 6 of Difference Makers 3.0, Brian Edwards and Native CDFI Network CEO Pete Upton sit down with Beach after a day of touring Native-owned businesses, meeting with tribal leaders and Native lenders, and attending a regional gathering hosted by Native CDFI Network and NACDC Financial Services.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nThe conversation explores infrastructure, banking access, broadband connectivity, private investment, federal contracting and the barriers Tribes still face attracting outside capital.\r\n
