She was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com\/culture\/nat-geo-33\/graphics\/2026\">named a National Geographic 33<\/a> in March and has been a <a href=\"https:\/\/explorers.nationalgeographic.org\/directory\/margaret-pearce\">National Geographic Explorer<\/a> since 2022.
