UPCOMING IRS WEBINARS AND TREASURY CONSULTATIONS<\/div>\r\nThe Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is hosting two identical webinars to discuss and review federal tax responsibilities for non-employee payments for tribes and tribal entities scheduled from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Eastern Time on November 6th and 13th.\r\n

<\/P>\r\nThe webinars will cover basic information for accounts payable employees and those responsible for filing Forms 1099 and Form 945. \r\n

<\/P>\r\nThe U.S. Department of the Treasury (Treasury) and IRS are scheduling consultations on the recently issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for the implementation of section 139E of the Internal Revenue Code, created by the Tribal General Welfare Exclusion Act.\r\n

<\/P>\r\nConsultations will be held on each November 18th, 19th, and 20th and written comments must be received by December 17th. \r\n
