Members of the organization elected two new directors   &#8212; Alyssa London (Tlingit) and Roselynn Yazzie (Shoshone-Bannock \/ Din\u00e9) &#8212; and re-elected Angel Ellis (Muscogee Nation), according to a <a href=https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/27c543c75e86\/ija-members-elect-board-board-selects-2024-2025-executive-committee?e=df31296862>news release<\/a> on Thursday.\r\n<P><\/P>\r\nLondon, Yazzie and Ellis join five women already on the board, bringing the total number of women directors to eight. The IJA board consists of nine members.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nAdditionally, during a special board meeting, IJA appointed positions on the executive committee. All four slots are held by women:\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Christine Trudeau (Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation), President<\/li>\r\n<li>Jourdan Bennett-Begaye (Din\u00e9), Vice President<\/li>\r\n<li>Angel Moore (Peguis First Nation), Treasurer<\/li>\r\n<li>Shondiin Silversmith (Din\u00e9), Secretary<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><\/p> \r\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Thank you to everyone who attended the 2024 Indigenous Media Conference!!
