<\/p>\r\nBrings Plenty (they\/she) is a Two Spirit Water Protector and Land Defender from the Oglala Sioux Tribe<\/a>. Their remarks were part of an event hosted by Women’s Strike<\/a> in Washington, D.C.\r\n

<\/p>\r\n“We were birthed from the Earth,” Brings Plenty said. “We have become the protectors of the sacred, the protectors of this land, the protectors of our lives.”\r\n

<\/p>\r\n“And that means we get to choose what is best for our lives,” Brings Plenty said in front of the highest court in the United States.\r\n
