POLICY:<\/EM><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"h5-responsive sub\">TREASURY PUBLISHED FINAL RULES ON PREVAILING WAGE AND APPRENTICESHIP REQUIREMENTS<\/div>\r\nOn Tuesday, June 18, 2024, the Department of the Treasury published the final rules on Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship (PWA) requirements related to increased credit or deduction amounts for certain clean energy incentives, enacted as a part of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nTreasury conducted consultation on the proposed NPRM on September 25, 2023. Based on this consultation, and pursuant to Executive Orders 13175 and 14112, Treasury has adopted two Tribal special rules to address circumstances where a Tribal government is an employer and where Tribal lands are subject to different prevailing wage rates. ACCOUNTING:<\/EM><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"h5-responsive sub\">FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING FOUNDATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR GOVERNMENTAL ACCOUNTING STANDARDS BOARD (GASB) MEMBER<\/div>\r\nThe Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) is responsible for selecting the members of the GASB and its Advisory Council, the Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council (GASAC). The Board of Trustees is seeking a highly qualified individual with substantial experience as a local government preparer of financial statements to fill the upcoming vacancy.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nThe appointment is a part-time role that requires approximately one-third the time commitment of a full-time position. The successful candidate will be appointed to an initial five-year term and may be eligible for reappointment to an additional term of up to five years.
