<\/p>\r\nHaaland, who leads the Department of the Interior<\/a>, is the first Native person to serve in a presidential cabinet. She spoke an event hosted by the National Congress of American Indians<\/a> and the National Indigenous Women\u2019s Resource Center<\/a> in Washington, D.C. \r\n
