The process is typically used for legislation that is considered non-controversial and for bills with broad bipartisan support.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nThe bills are:\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<div class=\"mx-4\">\r\n&#8226; <a href=https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/118th-congress\/house-bill\/2882>H.R.2882<\/a>, the Udall Foundation Reauthorization Act of 2023. The <a href=https:\/\/ciscomani.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/ciscomani-stansbury-introduce-bipartisan-bill-support-tucson-based-udall>bill reauthorizes the Udall Foundation through 2028<\/a>. The <a href=https:\/\/udall.gov\/>Udall Foundation<\/a>,  named after  former U.S. Congressmen Mo and Stewart Udall from Arizona,  provides scholarships  and internships to students who are working on Native issues. The <a href=https:\/\/naturalresources.house.gov\/>House Committee on Natural Resources<\/a>  approved the bill at a markup session on <a href=https:\/\/naturalresources.house.gov\/calendar\/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=415143>November 15, 2023<\/a>.\r\n<P><\/P>\r\n&#8226; <a href=https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/118th-congress\/house-bill\/1240>H.R.1240<\/a>, the Winnebago Land Transfer Act of 2023.  The bill returns about 1,600 acres to the <a href=https:\/\/winnebagotribe.com\/>Winnebago Tribe<\/a>. The land, located in Iowa, was promised to the tribe by treaty but was later illegally condemned and taken by the <a href=https:\/\/www.usace.army.mil\/>U.S. Army Corps of Engineers<\/a>. The <a href=https:\/\/naturalresources.house.gov\/>House Committee on Natural Resources<\/a>  approved the bill at a markup session on <a href=https:\/\/naturalresources.house.gov\/calendar\/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=413432>June 13, 2023<\/a>.\r\n<\/div>\r\n<P><\/P>\r\nBoth measures are scheduled for consideration on Monday.
