But several <a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.alaska.gov\/mlw\/mining\/large-mines\/donlin\/\">Alaska Native villages and environmental groups say the cost to retrieve the gold is too high<\/a>, harming the health and livelihoods of the people who live there. \r\n<p><\/p>\r\nA coalition of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecowatch.com\/alaska-tribes-sue-donlin-gold-mine.html\">tribal and environmental groups are suing<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/nodonlingold.org\">halt the mine<\/a>.
