Instead, the committee is hearing from several witnesses, most of whom support the nomination. Barrett&#8217;s nomination is on the agenda, meaning she could be advanced by a vote later on Thursday, cleaning her for final approval by the <a href=https:\/\/www.senate.gov\/>U.S. Senate<\/a> in the coming days.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nThe Supreme Court opened its latest term on October 5. She was nominated to the bench by President Donald Trump in 2017.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nBarrett lacks significant experience in Indian law.
