<\/P>\r\nThe following are selected documents from Dante Desiderio v. National Congress of American Indians<\/em>, a lawsuit connected to the employment of Dante Desiderio as Chief Executive Officer of the National Congress of American Indians<\/a>.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nDesiderio filed his complaint in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia on June 24, after being placed on administrative leave as CEO of NCAI. Indianz.Com was the first to report on his suspension<\/a> in a story on June 10.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nSince being served an amended complaint on August 12, NCAI has sought to remove the lawsuit to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, which is part of the federal court system. A federal judge has not yet agreed to have the case heard in her court.\r\n

<\/P>\r\nOn August 12, NCAI announced that Desiderio was no longer employed at the organization<\/a>, the largest inter-tribal advocacy organization in the U.S.\r\n
