Pokagon Band brings in new council members<\/div>\r\n

<\/p>\r\nThe Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians<\/a> is welcoming new members to its council, the tribe’s governing body.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nGary Morseau Sr. is the new Vice Chair of the council, the tribe announced on Monday. Alex Wesaw is serving as Treasurer.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nAlso joining the 11-member council<\/a> are Rhonda Keene and Mark Parrish, both serving in Member At Large positions. A swearing-in ceremony took place over the weekend, on Saturday.\r\n

<\/p>\r\n\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to a productive year with those new to Council and those continuing to fulfill their terms,\u201d said Chairwoman Rebecca Richards. \u201cI would personally like to thank our outgoing Vice Chair, Andrew Bennett, and outgoing Member At Large, Anita Morales for their service to our Tribal Council and our Nation.\u201d\r\n
