<\/p>\r\n The following is a press release from the Fort Belknap Indian Community<\/a>.<\/em>\r\n

<\/p>\r\nHarlem, Montana \u2013 The Fort Belknap Indian Community<\/a> of the Assiniboine and Gros Ventre Tribes are pleased to announce our endorsement of Democratic Attorney General Candidate Raph Graybill<\/a>. \r\n

<\/p>\r\n\u201cThe Fort Belknap Community Council endorses Raph Graybill for Attorney General because he has shown a commitment to addressing issues important to tribal people, first as Governor Bullock\u2019s Chief Legal Counsel and now as a candidate who\u2019s traveled to every tribal communities, listening to our leaders and tribal members, about how he will work to improve the lives of all Montanans,\u201d said Fort Belknap Community Council President Andrew Werk, \u201cWe know Graybill will be a partner with the Assiniboine and Gros Ventre Tribes to protect our healthcare, address the epidemic of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, and be an advocate for equality and issue related to tribal sovereignty.\u201d \r\n

<\/p>\r\nThe endorsement of Raph Graybill was approved by the Tribal Council by a unanimous vote.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nGraybill had this to say about the endorsement of his campaign for Attorney General by the Fort Belknap Indian Community: \r\n

<\/p>\r\n \u201cI’m deeply honored to earn the trust and support of the Fort Belknap Assiniboine and Gros Ventre Tribes,\u201d said Raph Graybill, \u201cI\u2019ll work to continue the trust you have placed in me and uphold the sovereign rights of our tribal nations, protect our healthcare, and defend our values. As Attorney General, I will wake up every day to fight for the people of Montana and be an ally and partner with tribal communities to make Montana a great place for all.\u201d \r\n
