Many are in survival mode after the sudden and unexpected elimination of funding that had been promised. \r\n<p><\/p>\r\nThe U.S. Department of Justice has also removed its access to <a href=\"https:\/\/19thnews.org\/2025\/05\/indigenous-women-key-reports-removed-federal-sites\/\">research and recommendations about violence against Indigenous women<\/a>. Tune in to  find out how some shelters are working despite the setbacks.\r\n<P><\/P>\r\nWe\u2019ll also remember <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nativeshop.org\/the-native-american-community-board-mourns-the-passing-of-founder-and-ceo-charon-asetoyer\/\">long-time women\u2019s advocate Charon Asetoyer<\/a>. Among other things, she founded the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nativeshop.org\">Native American Community Board<\/a> that works to strengthen women\u2019s health, safety, and justice.
