There is no debate that energy development can boost Tribal economies. Moreover, the impact of the pandemic has emphasized the value of diversifying tribal economies. \r\n<P><\/P>\r\nFSA Advisors will discuss strategies to borrow in this interest rate environment and Federal credit policy and the Department of Energy&#8217;s Loan Programs Office (LPO) will outline how to apply for a direct loan based upon a new Solicitation. LPO has announced important changes to the Program to finance Tribe\u2019s investments in energy. These include key changes to the debt capital program, aimed at increasing tribal energy development to unlock the energy potential of Indian Country. This includes the ability to offer loans through the Federal Financing Bank directly to tribes.
