Photo courtesy NARF\r\n<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<P><\/P>\r\n&#8220;The new position Matthew Campbell has shouldered allows NARF to plan and coordinate strategies and resources that are constantly in motion,&#8221; Echohawk concluded.\r\n<P><\/p>\r\n &#8220;I&#8217;m deeply honored to serve Native people in this role,&#8221;   Campbell said of his leadership position. &#8220;I envision this position as a fantastic opportunity to help the Native American Rights Fund build the capacity to broaden our support for Indian Country as well as support our attorneys and staff in undertaking this important work.&#8221;\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n  Campbell, a graduate of the Sandra Day O\u2019Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, joined NARF as a staff attorney. He has worked on a <a href=https:\/\/www.narf.org\/our-work\/>wide range of cases benefiting tribes and their interests<\/a>, from securing water rights settlements to protecting sacred places.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n&#8220;I started working on cases related to Indian education and advocating for the\r\nadvancement of Indian education,&#8221; Campbell said in a <a href=https:\/\/youtu.be\/Mf5_oZ6rWTg>video released by NARF<\/a>. &#8220;I&#8217;ve had\r\nthe opportunity to work on Indian water rights and water settlements.&#8221;\r\n<P><\/p><div class=\"mt-1 mb-1\"><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8411603009680747\" data-ad-slot=\"6394965691\"><\/ins><script>(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});<\/script><\/div><p><\/p>\r\n&#8220;I&#8217;ve worked on sacred places work,  to protect our sacred places\r\nand then had the opportunity to represent Native folks &#8212; our veterans, our\r\nelders  &#8212; in protecting the right to vote in North Dakota,&#8221; he said.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n&#8220;I also had the opportunity to sue the Trump administration over the\r\nKeystone XL Pipeline and the Bears Ears National Monument,&#8221; Campbell noted.
