<\/p>\r\nThe House Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations<\/a>, led by Rep. Katie Porter<\/a> (D-California), will hold an oversight hearing titled, The Opioid Crisis in Tribal Communities<\/a>, on April 5, 2022.\r\n <\/p>\r\nNationally, tribal communities have been among the hardest hit by the opioid epidemic. According to the House Committee on Natural Resources<\/a>, Native people are almost 50 percent more likely to die of an opioid overdose than any other group.
