FOR TRIBAL LEADERS:<\/EM><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"h5-responsive sub\">DOE CONSULTATION WITH TRIBAL LEADERS ON THE BIPARTISAN INFRASTRUCTURE LAW<\/div>\r\nThe U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will host a virtual consultation session on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) for Tribal and Alaska Native Corporation leaders or their designated representatives on March 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.\r\n<P><\/P>\r\nThe information Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and DOE leaders gather in this consultation session will guide the Energy Department in developing more than 60 new programs. Implementing $62.5 billion in funding from the BIL, also known as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). As the largest investment in our nation&#8217;s infrastructure in generations, IIJA will require deep, ongoing partnership alongside Tribal and Alaska Native Corporation leaders, members of Congress, governors, mayors, local officials, and community members.\r\n<P><\/P>\r\nDOE&#8217;s website on <a href=https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/bil\/bipartisan-infrastructure-law-programs>BIL programs<\/a> can help you prepare for the consultation session. FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: <\/EM><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"h5-responsive sub\">LOCAL FOOD PROCUREMENT ASSISTANCE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT (LFPA) DEADLINE EXTENSION<\/div>\r\nThe <a href=https:\/\/www.ams.usda.gov\/selling-food-to-usda\/lfpacap>Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) Cooperative Agreement Program<\/a> will award up to $400 million through non-competitive cooperative agreements with state governments and federally recognized tribal governments to support local, regional, and socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers through the purchase of domestic, local foods.\r\n<P><\/P>\r\nThe LFPA program application deadline is extended from April 5, 2022, to May 6, 2022.
