The bill  addresses the illegal trafficking of  tribal cultural items by facilitating their repatriation to tribal nations. It was written in response to  an <a href=https:\/\/indianz.com\/News\/2018\/05\/17\/tribal-items-still-going-up-for-sale-as.asp>alarming number of auctions of tribal  property<\/a> taking place overseas. \r\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"20\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" allow=\"autoplay\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/1170079975&#038;color=%23ff5500&#038;inverse=false&#038;auto_play=false&#038;show_user=false\"><\/iframe>\r\n<P><\/P>\r\n\u2022 <a href=https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/4352>H.R.4352<\/a>, a legislative fix to the <a href=https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/>U.S. Supreme Court<\/a> decision in <a href=https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Carcieri_v._Salazar><EM>Carcieri v. Salazar<\/em><\/a>. The bill ensures that all tribes \u2014 regardless of the date of their federal recognition \u2014 can follow the land-into-trust process. Under the measure, any trust land acquisitions since 2009 are deemed to have been \u201cratified and confirmed\u201d by Congress, a step that would prevent litigation and other challenges.\r\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"20\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" allow=\"autoplay\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/1170085222&#038;color=%23ff5500&#038;inverse=false&#038;auto_play=false&#038;show_user=false\"><\/iframe>\r\n<P><\/P>\r\n&#8226; <a href=https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/897>H.R.897<\/a>, the Agua Caliente Land Exchange Fee to Trust Confirmation Act. The bill places about 2,500 acres  into trust for the <a href=https:\/\/www.aguacaliente.org\/>Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians<\/a>. The lands are of cultural and historical importance to the tribe, located in southern California.\r\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"20\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" allow=\"autoplay\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/1170089911&#038;color=%23ff5500&#038;inverse=false&#038;auto_play=false&#038;show_user=false\"><\/iframe>\r\n<P><\/P>\r\n&#8226; <a href=https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/2074>H.R.2074<\/a>,  the Indian Buffalo Management Act.
