<\/p>\r\nThe case centers on Oak Flat<\/a>, a sacred Apache site in Arizona. The Apache Stronghold<\/a> is seeking to protect the land from a large copper mine.\r\n

<\/P>\r\nThe Apache Stronghold has been authorized by the San Carlos Apache Tribe<\/a> to advocate for Oak Flat. The site, located on federal land managed by the U.S. Forest Service<\/a>, is known as Chi\u2019chil Bi\u0142dagoteel<\/em> in the Apache language.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nThe hearing lasted about 50 minutes<\/a>. It is not known when a decision will be issued.\r\n
