She was elected by acclamation on Wednesday  after the only other person who was nominated withdrew from consideration.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n Keith Anderson of the <a href=\"https:\/\/shakopeedakota.org\">Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community<\/a> said he was surprised to have been nominated for president. The longtime chairman of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pechanga-nsn.gov\">Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians<\/a> defeated two other candidates for the post of Vice President, according to results reported on Thursday.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nMacarro  won 51.6 percent of the vote, according to the results. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians<\/a>, won election as Secretary of NCAI. He was the only candidate nominated.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nPayment most recently served as  Vice President of NCAI. Due to  the organization&#8217;s term limits, he was barred from running for the position again.\r\n<P><\/P><div class=\"mt-1 mb-1\"><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8411603009680747\" data-ad-slot=\"6394965691\"><\/ins><script>(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});<\/script><\/div><p><\/p>\r\nShannon Holsey, president of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mohican.com\">Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians<\/a>, won election as Treasurer of NCAI. She   was the only candidate nominated. \r\n<p><\/p>\r\nHolsey  will be serving her first full term as NCAI&#8217;s Treasurer.
