1. WEBINARS:<\/em><\/div>\r\n
FISCAL RECOVERY FUND INTERIM REPORT WEBINAR WITH TREASURY DEPARTMENT<\/div>\r\nThe United States Department of Treasury (Treasury) recently released a user guide for the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (FRF) reporting portal<\/a> which provides step-by-step directions for certain FRF reporting, including the Interim Report due on August 31, 2021 for Tribal governments. This user guide is in addition to the FRF Reporting and Compliance Guidance<\/a>. \r\n

<\/P>\r\nOn August 25, 2021 at 3:00pm-4:00pm E.D.T., NAFOA will host an information session for Tribal governments focused on the Interim Report. Treasury staff will provide an overview of the Interim Report, portal submission process, and be available for questions and answers. \r\n

3. FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES:<\/em><\/div>\r\n
HIGHER EDUCATION EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND<\/div>\r\nThe Office of Post Secondary Education under the Department of Education is currently inviting applications for new funding from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEER) under the American Rescue Plan (ARP). Higher education institutions that meet the criteria for the Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) program will be eligible for these additional funds.\r\n

<\/P>\r\nThe funding will go to MSI in order to address issues that are related to coronavirus. Applications are currently available and will continue to be accepted<\/a> until October 1, 2021.
