FOR COMMUNITIES: <\/em><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"h5-responsive sub\">THE CHILD TAX CREDIT<\/div>\r\nThe Child Tax Credit in the American Rescue Plan provides the largest Child Tax Credit ever and historic relief to the most working families ever \u2013 and as of July 15th, most families are automatically receiving monthly payments of $250 or $300 per child without having to take any action. \r\n<p><\/p>\r\nHere is what families across Indian Country need to know:\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<div class=mx-4>\r\n $3,600 per child under 6 years old and $3,000 per child 6-17 years old for nearly all working families;<p><\/p>\r\nIf you\u2019ve filed tax returns for 2019 or 2020, or if you signed up to receive a stimulus check from the Internal Revenue Service, you will get this tax relief automatically. FOR TRIBES:<\/em><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"h5-responsive sub\">TRIBAL BROADBAND CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM <\/div>\r\nJoin the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) tribal broadband specialist team on July 21 and July 22, 2021, to hear more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/broadbandusa.ntia.doc.gov\/resources\/grant-programs\/tribal-broadband-connectivity-program\">Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program<\/a> (TBCP). \r\n<P><\/p>\r\nThe TBCP makes grants available to eligible entities, which include a Tribal Government, a Tribal College or University, the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands on behalf of the Native Hawaiian Community, including Native Hawaiian Education Programs, a Tribal organization, or an Alaskan Native Corporation, for the deployment and adoption of broadband service on Tribal Land and for programs that promote the use of broadband to access remote learning, telework, or telehealth resources during the COVID\u201319 pandemic.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nOn <strong>Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 2:30 \u2013 4:00 p.m. EST<\/strong>, NTIA will be hosting a webinar on the TBCP application process. During this webinar NTIA staff will guide potential applicants through the forms and documentation required for a complete TBCP grant application.
