<\/p>\r\nThe ceremony took place at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, on July 16, 2021. The stop is along the route that the tribe is taking as it brings the children home to the Rosebud Sioux Reservation<\/a> in South Dakota.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nThe children were formally transferred to the tribe by the U.S. Army on July 14. The ceremony occurred at the Carlisle Barracks Post Cemetery, a military site, in Pennsylvania.\r\n

<\/p>\r\nThe tribe is hosting additional events in Nebraska and South Dakota in preparation of burial services on the reservation on July 17, 2021.\r\n
