The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.badriver-nsn.gov\/\">Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa<\/a> is among a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpr.org\/news\/tribe-says-line-5-reroute-violate-water-quality-standards\">tribes in at least three states that oppose the project<\/a> by Canadian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enbridge.com\/projects-and-infrastructure\/public-awareness\/line-5-wisconsin-segment-relocation-project\/line-5-through-the-bad-river-reservation\">energy company Enbridge<\/a>, saying it <a href=\"https:\/\/earthjustice.org\/article\/the-great-lakes-under-threat\">posing significant risk to the environment<\/a>, most notably the Great Lakes. \r\n<p><\/p>\r\nThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enbridge.com\/projects-and-infrastructure\/public-awareness\/line-5-wisconsin-segment-relocation-project\/line-5-through-the-bad-river-reservation\">existing pipeline runs across Bad River land<\/a>, but the company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enbridge.com\/projects-and-infrastructure\/public-awareness\/line-5-wisconsin-segment-relocation-project\">new route bypasses the reservation<\/a>.
