Her efforts led to a repeal of the <a href=https:\/\/indigenousfoundations.arts.ubc.ca\/bill_c-31\/>discriminatory practice through Bill C-31<\/a> on June 28, 1985.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/DidYouKnow?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#DidYouKnow<\/a>?
