Now, after years of work, those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dfw.state.or.us\/news\/2025\/03_Mar\/031425c.asp\">rights are fully restored<\/a>, opening up a rich store of traditional food for tribal members.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nAuthor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brookmthompson.com\">Brook Thompson<\/a> was inspired to write her children\u2019s book, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4jaA0hd\"><em>I Love Salmon and Lampreys: A Native Story of Resilience<\/em><\/a> after witnessing a salmon kill in the Klamath River in 2002.
