Bryan has earned a law degree from Michigan State University, and past Policy Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Interior for Indian Affairs Bureau of Indian Affairs to be the Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. \r\n<p><\/p>\r\nBryan has demonstrated though his work the ability to continuously find ways to ensure that Indian Country\u2019s priorities are top of mind for policymakers and continuously cultivates key partnerships, on the tribal and federal level, to ensure that the needs of our tribal nations are addressed.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nMidwest Alliance of Sovereign Tribes Dr. Aaron Payment President\/Chairperson of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indian said that Newland \u201cis an excellent choice\u201d for the position, adding \u201chis comprehensive expertise in Indian Affairs will serve Indian Country well.\u201d \r\n<p><\/p>\r\nBryan Newland has gained the knowledge and perspective needed to serve effectively as Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
