Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation<\/em><\/a>, a <a href=https:\/\/indianz.com\/News\/2021\/04\/19\/indian-country-nearly-locked-out-of-u-s-supreme-court-hearing\/>dispute over COVID-19 funding in Indian Country<\/a>, on April 19, 2021.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nThe hearing in <em>Yellen<\/em>, No. 20-543., lasted about an hour and 45 minutes, far longer than the one hour allotted for the case.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nAt issue is whether <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alaska_Native_corporation\">Alaska Native corporations<\/a> (ANCs) are entitled to funds from the <a href=\"https:\/\/home.treasury.gov\/policy-issues\/cares\">Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act<\/a>, also known as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianz.com\/Video\/2020\/03\/30\/cares-act-coronavirus-relief-f.asp\">CARES Act<\/a>, in the same manner as sovereign Indian nations.\r\n<p><\/p>\r\nThe case has been consolidated with <a href=\"https:\/\/sct.narf.org\/caseindexes\/alaska_native_corp_v_chehalis.html\"><em>Alaska Native Village Corporation Association v.
