DECEMBER 11, 2000 Supporters of Leonard Peltier held marches all around the country, urging President Bill Clinton to grant clemency to the imprisoned activist. Marches were held in New York City, New York, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and San Francisco, California. Clinton said he will decide on Peltier's clemency application before he leaves office.
