Neb. gaming amendment hearing today

FEBRUARY 5, 2001 A public hearing on an amendment to the Nebraska constitution which would allow for expanded gaming by tribes in the state. Tribal and gaming leaders on Friday attended a "Sovereignty Luncheon" on Friday in Lincoln and discussed the issue. Lance Morgan, CEO of Ho-Chunk, Inc., the development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe, said tribes are looking to alternatives to the amendment but wouldn't say what they were. Get the Story:
