Aboriginals aren't buying the sob story of Canadian churches who say they are near bankruptcy from dealing with lawsuits alleging sexual abuse and cultural oppression.

The Christian Peacemakers, an American religious organization, is fasting in support of the Burnt Church Mi'kmaq. The group came to New Brunswick in April to ensure good relations between Native and non-Native fisherman but have focused the fast on the treatment the First Nation is receiving from the federal government.
