Sen. Frank Murkowski (R-Alaska) showed more pictures of Inupiat Eskimo children on the Senate floor on Tuesday.

Murkowski said the children deserved to have the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge open to oil and gas drilling in order to provide for a better future. But the proposal he offered linked ANWR's oil to support for Israel.

Similarly, Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) pushed an amendment that links ANWR revenues to aid for retired steel workers. Both provisions were denounced by Democrats as desperate.

A vote could come tomorrow.
