New ANWR analysis questioned

Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.) on Thursday wrote a letter to Secretary of Interior Gale Norton to determine whether politics affected a decision to review an Arctic National Wildlife Refuge report.

The U.S. Geological Survey released summaries last week on how drilling would affect wildlife, such as caribou and musk oxen. But a new analysis was requested by the USGS director in order to determine whether limited development would have the same effect.
