Department of Interior officials won't meet with the Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa to discuss the tribe's ongoing leadership dispute because one faction has decided not to attend.

A meeting, arranged by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), was set to take place today. The elected tribal council was advised against it, a spokesperson said, citing ongoing court-ordered mediation.
