Canada moves to settle Native claims

The Canadian government is seeking to take Native boarding school abuse cases out of the court system in order to settle historical claims.

Critics say the process will extinguish victims' rights. Lawrence Joseph of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations told CBC that the government was trying to stall resolution of the decades-old cases.
