Alaska Native village joins suit over new state law

The Alaska Native village of Nunapitchuk has joined a lawsuit against a new state law that aims to limit public interest lawsuits.

The law prevents public interest groups and citizens from recovering attorney fees and costs in suits against state agencies. Otherwise, the winning side of any case in the state can recoup all legal fees from the losing side.
