Narragansett Tribe continues pow-wow tradition

The Narragansett Tribe of Rhode Island held its 328th annual August Meeting over the weekend.

The meeting is a traditional gathering among Northeastern tribes. It is set to coincide with the ripening of the corn.

This year's pow-wow drew a larger-than-usual turnout, attributed to the tribe's smoke shop controversy.
