Troy Erickson: "I challenge anyone to make a successful case to prove that 'Fighting Sioux' is in any way insulting. It can't be done because it is an honor, not an insult. . ."

Jon-Erik G. Storm: "If North Dakota wants to improve its image, why not take the much simpler step of changing the name of the university's mascot? 'Dakotah' means friend, right?"
