Role in gaming nets fundraiser
FRIDAY, MARCH 22, 2002
A vice president of Harrah's Entertainment is holding a fundraiser for Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) because of his role in Indian gaming.
The $500-per-person event will be held in Las Vegas next month and is being hosted by Jan Jones of Harrah's. She cited his vote against a tax on Indian casinos and his position against a bill banning sports betting.
Kennedy is a founding member of the Native American Caucus.
