Indian commission sought in Indiana
FRIDAY, JANUARY 25, 2002 A protest on Thursday by Native Americans at the Statehouse in Indiana convinced a state lawmaker to amend a bill to create a commission of Indian affairs. The bill originally was designed to establish a Hispanic commission to advise the General Assembly. But Indian demonstrators complained that they were being left out. State Rep.
