Colo. tribe an Enron investor
MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2002 The Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado is one of a number of investors in Enron Corp. trying to move the failed company's bankruptcy case to Texas. Enron is based in Houston but filed for bankruptcy in New York court. A judge today is hearing arguments on a motion filed by the investors to move the venue to Texas, where it is felt they will get a more favorable hearing. The Ute Tribe is described by the Associated Press as a small investor in Enron. The tribe has been a major player in energy development and has its own superior credit rating. Get the Story:
