Tribe could have homeland
MAY 4, 2001 Although an official offer hasn't been made, the Cayuga Nation of New York may soon have its own land once again with the gift of a local group. The 70-acre farm was purchased with the intention of having the tribe use it. If the land is offiically deeded, a Bureau of Indian Affairs official said it could be just six months before it is taken into trust for the tribe. Get the Story:
