Land bought for Cayuga Nation
MAY 3, 2001 An organization called Strengthening Haudenosaunee-American Relations Through Education (SHARE) has purchased a 70-acre farm in upstate New York for the Cayuga Nation. An Ithaca College professor bought the land for $240,000 on behalf of the organization two weeks ago. The group intends to have the tribe use it, although details of whether it will be officially deeded are not yet known. If the land is deeded, the tribe could seek to have it placed into trust.
