TUESDAY, JUNE 3, 2003

It's official: U.S. 666, a three-state highway that runs through parts of the Navajo Nation and the Ute Mountain Ute Reservation, has been renumbered U.S. 491.

Known as "Devil's Highway," officials in New Mexico, Utah and Colorado hope the change will end the negative connotation associated with the highway.
