Public school offers Lakota language class

MONDAY, MAY 12, 2003

The Denver Public School system is one of the few in the nation to offer a Lakota language class.

Students at Denver East High School learn Lakota language and Lakota culture with instructor Gracie RedShirt Tyon Foote. The class is in its first semester.
