Wash. tribes oppose changes in state water law
TUESDAY, MAY 6, 2003 Washington tribes with treaty-backed water and fishing rights are fighting bills that would change water law. The Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission says the two proposals will hurt salmon, the environment and water rights. The bills are being considered as part of a special legislative session.
