Alaska rape victim won't be forced to testify

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19, 2003

A judge in Alaska won't force a rape victim to testify in the trial of a man charged with raping and killing an Alaska Native woman.

Joshua Wade's defense subpoenaed the rape victim in hopes of pinning the crime on a convicted rapist. Wade denies killing Della Brown, whose body was found in early September 2000.
